I have a few goal for the month of December, and I figured what better place to keep track of them than my blog!? Anyway, here they are:
1. Keep track of my eating & exercise in this blog.
I made this blog to document my weight-loss journey/be a fashion blog but I feel like the extend of my documentation consists of me complaining about how slow the weight-loss is going and goal chats. NO MORE STARTING TODAY! My December goal is to make a blog entry every night detailing my eating and exercise for the day. I feel like if I keep track of what I am eating and doing for exercise I will be more likely to make wise choices and as a result will lose weight faster! I have always regretted the times I have lost weight and not kept a journal... I will not allow this time to be the same!
2. Take at least one photo shoot a week.
When I first started this blog I was taking photos left and right, but a combination of cold weather, a shitty camera, and school stress have prevented me from taking photos as much as I was! NO MORE! In December I am promising myself I will do one photo shoot a week to: show off my weekly purchases, show any weight-loss progress, and to all-in-all feel pretty. This brings me to my next December goal...
3. Purchase this camera: http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-D5000-18-55mm-3-5-5-6G-Vari-angle/dp/B00267S7TQ
Part of the reason I do not take as many pictures as I would like is my little camera... how do I say... SUCKS!!! The flash is wonky, some pictures are overly bright while others are completely dark... that is not even the half of it. I came across a blogger who took AMAZING pictures of food and herself (I would like to start documenting my food more as well), and she discussed the camera she used. Needless to say after reading that I decided then and there that I WOULD HAVE THAT CAMERA IN MY LIFE! It goes for around $550-$600 used, and I think I can get that money together in December if I use my Christmas money and any money I make when I start playing poker (Did I mention I am going to start playing poker? Yeesh... I am a little nervous but mostly excited. I will discuss that more later) Anyway, I WILL HAVE THIS CAMERA AND WHEN I DO I WILL BE TAKING PICTURES OF EVERY DAMN THING, YOU HEAR ME!?!? AND YOU ALL BETTER LIKE IT!
4. Start playing poker legit styles online and at the casino.
I have always been good at poker, but watching WSOP this past weekend reminded me of how awesome it would be to be a professional poker player and I really do think I have what it takes. I know I would always regret not trying it, and if I lose a few hundred dollars while attempting to realize my dream then so what? At least I know I tried. Too many people in life do not attempt to do what they really want to do... I am usually one of those people but this weight-loss journey along with my college journey have made me realize I can do anything. If the dudes on television can pull off being poker champions why can't I?
5. Finish off the semester with a bang.
I have done pretty well this semester but I would be lying if I said I was 100% focused... Yes, I have pulled a lot of all-nighters and procrastinated WAY more than I would like to admit. Anyway, I would like to make December a procrastination-free month! NO MORE UNNECESSARY STRESS DUE TO PUTTING THINGS OFF! God knows I am going to ruin my 100% on my Foundations of Geometry exam solely because I decided to not do the take-home until last minute. UGH SO MAD AT MYSELF!!! Either way, tomorrow is a new day and I can take control and change things... if I do fabulous on my finals I can replace that test score (which will probably be a B :/) along with any other non-A grade and do awesome in all of my classes. AND I WILL BECAUSE I AM SMART AND I CAN :D
6. PWN the LSATs.
I have the LSAT two weeks from Saturday. I am, starting Saturday, going to dedicate at least one hour a day to preparation. I am kind of leaning towards Law School over grad school for math, so I definitely need to do awesome on this or else I won't get to take it again for MONTHS :( THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!
7. PWN the GRE.
I haven't scheduled my next GRE yet but I am thinking the 27th-28th? Anyway, similarly to the LSAT, starting Saturday, going to dedicate at least one hour a day to preparation.
8. Lose at least 12 pounds.
Do I think all of these things are doable? Most definitely! As long as I stay focused and keep my eyes on my end goals there is nothing that can stop me. As you all know I desperately want to be in the 150's by January 1st... 15.5 pounds from where I am currently at. There is 37 days until January 1st, which means I have a little over 5 weeks to get there. 3 POUNDS A WEEK!? I can do it as long as I keep up with exercise and not drinking. Oh alcohol, I WILL MISS YOU SO!
Nice blog! I like your writing way. I'm doing practice GRE here: masteryourgre.com . I hope it's useful for GRE test takers.
